Yokoze Town (Yokoze Town) is a town located in the northwestern part of Saitama Prefecture and belongs to Chichibu County.
It is located on the north side of Mount Buko, at the southeastern end of Chichibu Basin. The main industry is limestone mining produced from Mount Buko. Yokoze Station is also a base for climbing Mt. Buko, and limited express trains also stop. The town's character is also called “Buko-san,” which has Mount Buko as a motif.
Most of the town is deep in the mountains. There is flatland in the Yokose River basin that flows northwest of the town, and this is the center of the town where the government office is also located. It is about 1.5 kilometers in a straight line from the town hall to the neighboring Chichibu city area, and the commute rate to Chichibu City is 34.5%. There are no large stores, hospitals, or high schools in the town, and most of the townspeople's lives depend on Chichibu City.
