How does TOTTA work?

TOTTA is a matching platform where you can request a photo shoot directly from a professional photographer.

Since messages can be sent directly to the cameraman, it is possible to do everything from shooting consultations to shooting requests, payments, delivery, and issuing other estimates and invoices in one stop.

Who runs TOTTA?

TOTTA is managed by Delta Creative Co., Ltd., which is in charge of the photography business.
I started with a photography business. It was established as a corporation in 2017 and has an office in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

Who founded TOTTA?

TOTTA was founded by Hiroki Yamamoto (CEO of Delta Creative Co., Ltd.), an active professional photographer.

While talking with people in charge of many companies in the shooting business, although there are many search platforms for photographers, professional, high amateurs, and amateur photographers are mixed, and I was often consulted that there was no receptacle for the need to request photography only from professional photographers.

Therefore, Yamamoto developed TOTTA over 5 years and released it in 2022.

Can all photographers be recruited?

It's possible.
Please register project information from the “Open Call for Professional Photographers” button at the top of the site. A notification email is sent to registered photographers, and an estimated fee is sent from photographers who have shown interest.

Can I nominate and request a photographer?

It's possible.
Search for photographers and send a message from each photographer's profile page.

Can I talk to the photographer directly before making an appointment?

It's possible.

Send a message directly from the photographer's profile you're interested in.

What kind of photographers are there?

Only professional photographers with at least 3 years of work experience are registered. Amateurs and those who have just become photographers cannot register. Also, it is necessary to pass the work screening at the time of registration.

You can check the cameraman's career and photographic work on each photographer's profile page. If you have any questions, you can also message the photographer directly.

After checking all the information and being satisfied, you can request a shooting from the cameraman.

What is the flow of requesting photography from a cameraman?

Direct request

You can have one-on-one communication by sending a message from each photographer's profile page.
After sending the message, the photographer will send an estimated fee and issue an estimate. If there is no problem with the content, payment will proceed and it will be the day of shooting.

Consultations about photography etc. can be made via chat or web conference at any time before and after the request.

There are 3 payment methods available: credit card, prepayment (bank transfer/corporate account only), and bill payment (bank transfer/corporate account only). For requests from individuals, only credit cards are accepted.

Open call

All photographers who meet the conditions will be notified of what they want to request. Each interested photographer will receive an estimate.
The process after that is similar to a “direct request.”

Can I shoot videos or request a drone?

It's possible.
At TOTTA, you can not only take photos, but also shoot videos, create videos, and request drone flights.

Is corporate use possible?

It's possible.

TOTTA is a service that can be used by both individuals and corporations.

I'm a corporation, but can I pay by invoice (deferred payment)?

It's possible.
When requesting a photographer, select “Pay by invoice (postpaid)” and fill out the necessary information. After confirmation and approval by the photographer in charge, the request for invoice payment will be confirmed.
An invoice will be issued upon delivery, so please save it as a PDF.

When requesting a photo shoot from a personal account, we only accept credit card payments.

What will happen to the name on the quote or invoice?

It is the name of each photographer.
Delta Creative Co., Ltd. (TOTTA Management Office) is not a party to the contract.

Can I pay by credit card?

It's possible.
It supports VISA, Mastercard, and American Express payments.

Can I do withholding tax?

It's possible.
By checking “Perform withholding tax” when confirming the request to the cameraman, it will be changed to a settlement of the amount obtained after deducting withholding tax.

Are you compatible with the invoice system?

It depends on the photographer.

Photographers registered to the invoice system have a “registered invoice” tag displayed in search results and on each cameraman's profile page.

When requesting photography from a photographer who has already registered an invoice, the invoice registration number is displayed on the estimate/invoice.

What will the payment process be like?

If you wish to pay an invoice, you will need to re-fill in information such as the company name and corporate number when requesting photography, and receive approval from the photographer in charge.
If the photographer refuses approval, you will not be able to use bill payment. Payment methods vary depending on the orderer's account type.
Switching between individual and corporate entities can be changed in the settings after logging in.

Is there a smooth way to find local photographers?

All TOTTA registered photographers are professional photographers who work as a living.

Professional photographers are concentrated in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Kansai area, where there is a lot of work, so depending on the details of the request, please consider requesting a business trip shooting from an urban area.

If you use the public recruitment function, you can find photographers smoothly.

Please use the public recruitment function.

By submitting applications to all photographers belonging to TOTTA, it is structured so that estimates and contacts are received from time to time from photographers who have shown interest.

Can all photographers be recruited?

It's possible.
Please register project information from the “Open Call for Professional Photographers” button at the top of the site. A notification email is sent to registered photographers, and an estimated fee is sent from photographers who have shown interest.

Are there any places I can't take pictures?

As long as it is an area where a photographer can handle it, they can handle either one.

However, there are also facilities such as shrines, parks, and theme parks where business trip photography is prohibited, and this may cause trouble, so please check in advance.

There are also facilities that are compatible with individual business trip photography and corporate business trip photography. Please check each facility's website or management company directly for how to obtain permission to shoot in advance.

Is corporate use possible?

It's possible.

TOTTA is a service that can be used by both individuals and corporations.

What should I prepare in advance when requesting event photography?

Share information such as a brief flow of the event, an overview, and purpose of use with the photographer beforehand.
When photos are distributed to participants, the event itself is taken evenly, but in the case of shooting for the purpose of using company public relations, the cut of the photos taken also changes, such as shooting mainly on the stage.

Will copyright on delivery data be transferred?

Delta Creative Co., Ltd. (TOTTA Management Office) is not a contracting party to each project, so please check with the photographer.

Will the TOTTA Secretariat (Delta Creative Co., Ltd.) be involved in the transaction?

no.

All projects carried out by TOTTA are direct business transactions between members, and we are not a party to the contract.

Is it possible to change the date or shooting location after the reservation has been made?

Project information cannot be modified once the reservation is confirmed, but if there is additional information or changes, please message them directly.

Is it possible to change the photographer after the reservation has been made?

It is possible to change the cameraman by temporarily canceling the requested project and making the request directly from another photographer.

Since it will be canceled after the reservation has been made, a cancellation fee will be charged according to the cancellation policy depending on the season. Please check the cancellation policy page for details on cancellation fees.

Is it possible to collect contracts with photographers?

If the photographer in charge is compatible, we can handle it.

Each photographer will decide, so please check individually.

Can I have individual consultations with the secretariat?

It is not compatible. Please contact the photographer directly.

Please cancel your reservation request.

Please note that once a reservation is made, a cancellation fee may also be charged.

Will there be a cancellation fee for cancellations due to natural disasters or other force majeure?

Please select “Force Majeure Cancellation” at the time of cancellation and apply to the photographer in charge.

The cameraman in charge will confirm and approve, or if you do not respond by the deadline, it will be automatically approved as a force majeure cancellation.

There is no cancellation fee if approved as a force majeure cancellation. Also, if the cameraman does not approve the force majeure cancellation, normal cancellation fees will be charged. Please check the cancellation policy page for details on cancellation fees.

Can I cancel my shooting reservation?

It's possible.

Cancellations after a reservation has been made will be subject to the cancellation policy, and a cancellation fee will be charged. In the case of bank transfer (prepayment), the difference after deducting the cancellation fee will be refunded by bank transfer at the end of the month following the cancellation month, so it is necessary to register the bank transfer of the remittance destination when the cancellation is confirmed.

Can I cancel on the day?

It's possible.

Please cancel from the project messages page. If you do not complete the cancellation procedure and do not go to the meeting place of your reservation (including when you are unable to meet with the cameraman), a cancellation fee will be charged as a same-day cancellation.

Is it possible to exchange mobile phone numbers for joining in advance at the shooting site?

It's possible.
At TOTTA, the mobile phone numbers of the cameraman and client are disclosed to each other when the shooting reservation is confirmed.

Can the second and subsequent transactions be made without going through TOTTA?

It's impossible.
If you have met a client photographer through TOTTA, please be sure to make a request via TOTTA even after the second time.

Can I have a shooting meeting in advance via a web conference?

It is possible to have a meeting via web conference regardless of whether the request is confirmed. Please prepare your own tools for the web conference.

Sharing email addresses, social media accounts, etc. in web conferences is strictly prohibited.
Please be aware that if these acts are confirmed, our TOTTA account may be suspended regardless of project execution transfer.

What will happen to the name on the quote or invoice?

What should I do when withholding tax is incurred?

By selecting “Perform withholding tax” on the menu when ordering from the photographer, it is possible to pay withholding tax by subtracting the withholding tax amount from the payment amount in advance.

Can I transfer money directly to the photographer's account?

It is not possible to transfer money directly to the photographer's account.
Payments are transferred to each photographer's bank account via a bank account or credit card account to Delta Creative Co., Ltd. (TOTTA Secretariat) via the secretariat.

What will the payment process be like?

Will my credit card information be stored on TOTTA's servers?

TOTTA uses Stripe, Inc.'s payment service and does not hold any credit card information on TOTTA's servers.

Also, TOTTA uses SSL to encrypt communication content and send and receive it.

Can I use bank transfers?

Bank transfers (prepayments) and bill payments (deferred payments) are handled only for requests from corporate accounts.

We do not accept bank transfers from personal accounts, so please use credit card payments.

Please note that even with a corporate account, we may only be able to accept credit card payments due to project conditions, such as when the shooting date is close. In the case of bill payment, approval from the photographer in charge is required.

How to resolve errors that occur during credit card payments?

If an error occurs during credit card payment, please use a different credit card.
Examples of card payments being rejected include when a credit card company refuses payment or the possibility that Stripe, which is a credit card payment system, rejects the credit card number entered.

The TOTTA secretariat is unable to confirm the details of the error, so please contact your credit card company or Stripe, or choose a different credit card or another payment method.

Will I be issued a receipt for the escrow fee?

When money is transferred from the TOTTA office to the cameraman's account, the system automatically issues a receipt.

The URL will be sent by email, so please check there.

Is direct delivery possible on physical media or at the shooting site?

It's impossible.

Please be sure to handle deliveries on the TOTTA system. If delivery of a project cannot be confirmed by the secretariat, the project is considered “undelivered,” which causes trouble.

However, if delivery is completed from the TOTTA system, mail or face-to-face delivery is possible.

Can I decline my request?

It's possible.
It is structured so that a message is sent after the estimated fee is issued, so please present a tentative estimated amount and send a message stating that the conditions presented cannot be handled.

When will my profile information be updated/added?

All updates to profile information updated on My Page and the addition of new profile pages for newly registered photographers are done by hand by the secretariat.
In normal times, it will be updated in 2 to 3 business days, but we appreciate your understanding that it may take several months if the timing overlaps with the timing, such as during major system repairs.

When will the shooting fee (guarantee) be transferred?

The timing when the guarantee is transferred varies depending on the client's payment timing.

In the case of credit card payment: Delivery is closed at the end of each month, and payment is made by the end of the following month
In the case of prepayment: Delivery is closed at the end of each month, and payment is made by the end of the following month
In the case of deferred payment: Payment to the TOTTA Secretariat is closed at the end of each month, and payment is made by the end of the following month
 (*The payment date for deferred payment invoices is issued as “delivery ends at the end of each month, payment at the end of the following month” or “delivery ends at the end of each month, and payment at the end of the following month.” (Please check the payment due date when requesting (when approved) from the client)

Can any photographer register?

A review is required for TOTTA registration. Even professional photographers may not pass the screening process.

You can check the screening status on My Page after logging in to your photographer account.

How many days until the cameraman registration process is completed?

There are many cases where the examination is completed from the shortest day to the next business day. We are checking with human eyes, so please wait a moment. Even if you call us, the time will not be faster, so please refrain from doing so.

Also, in order to use TOTTA, it is necessary to complete registration of the required items on the settings page.

Can I register as a sideline photographer?

I'm sorry. If you are a side job, please refrain from registering.

(However, this does not apply when the main business is work related to photography)

Can amateur photographers register?

I'm sorry. Amateurs are not allowed to register.

Can I share my personal contacts with my clients?

TOTTA strictly prohibits sharing means of direct contact, such as email addresses or social media accounts, with clients you meet through TOTTA.
Please be aware that if these acts are confirmed, our TOTTA account may be suspended regardless of project execution transfer.

However, it is possible to contact the emergency contact information (mobile phone number) for joining after the order has been placed. (Even on the system, it will be disclosed after order acceptance is completed)

What is a “project”?

Requests and projects from clients to photographers are called “projects.”

What is an “Open Call” and “Open Call”?

The client discloses project information to all photographers, and messages are sent from interested photographers.

The publication of publicly solicited projects will end one week after the public release starts. Listings cannot be manually withdrawn.
