Hello. My name is Shinji Ito and I live in Oiso-machi, Kanagawa-ken. I've been working as a freelance photographer for about 30 years.
Until now, I have focused on shooting houses and buildings, starting with real estate advertisements. In recent years, I've also been shooting 2 times for job sites.
In addition to that, I published a photo book “Touring Slovenia” in 2017 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Slovenia. The following year, in 2018, I traveled to Slovenia again to photograph athletes from the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.

The “Children's Drawing Project,” an activity to support areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, was launched in 2011, and drawing was held in Fukushima and Miyagi prefectures. Pictures of children supporting disaster-stricken areas are taken from Bosnia and Herzegovina and exhibited during drawing.
In 2012, recording of the evacuation order area due to the nuclear accident in Fukushima Prefecture began. In the same year, she traveled to Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the reception at the ambassador's residence, photographs such as scenes of children's paintings on display will be exhibited. I will also be drawing at the school that sent me my pictures.
I visited Bosnia and Herzegovina again in February 2014 and filmed a musical instrument support concert from Japan after the Bosnian conflict.
At the request of Mr. Hisao Yanagisawa, who conducted at that time, they began filming the concert of the “Balkan Chamber Orchestra,” which hoped for reconciliation between the opposing ethnic groups.
In 2014/6, I visited Bosnia and Herzegovina again to cover the 100th anniversary concert of the Sarajevo Incident by the Vienna Philharmonic. A solo exhibition was held in the capital city of Sarajevo.
In 2017, a photo book “Touring Slovenia” was published to commemorate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Slovenia. A solo exhibition was held in the capital Ljubljana.
Photographed Slovenian athletes participating in the 2018 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
In addition to my work, I have created “ink paintings” using Japanese paper and ink as original works and have them exhibited domestically and internationally.
Over the past few years, I've also been shooting cats to find foster parents for protected cats.
