My name is Okabayashi Hongdae and I am a photographer based in Kyoto and Yokohama.
I have been working as a professional advertising photographer from 2018 to the present, and taking advantage of my bilingual English and Japanese language skills, I have worked with domestic and international clients on various advertisement production, photography, and video production until now. I'm different from a typical photographer when it comes to my career, but I've been working in Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo since I was a student, and I've built a deep and reliable network through various jobs and sites. Recently, as an advertising strategy consultant beyond the domain of a photographer, I am in charge of producing in-house educational content for UNIQLO Co., Ltd., planning store events, and shooting for Orihica, which is under the umbrella of AOKI Group, and promotional photography for American Eagle.
As for my freelance work, I do advertisement production (comprehensive support from planning to production, delivery, and implementation), photography (people, buildings, goods, food, events, concerts), video shooting/production (video advertising/music videos, etc.), and branding-related services (including marketing strategies).
As an example, at American Eagle, I shoot and produce advertisements for promotions associated with the re-launch; at UNIQLO, I am in charge of advertisement production and creative direction over half a year with the concept of “fashion proposals for the elderly and people with disabilities, medical care and clothing,” and in charge of steel advertisement production and commercial production at small funerals. Furthermore, AOKI and ORIHICA are in charge of creating and shooting photos for VMDs and creating advertisements for social media both domestically and internationally (Kyoto, Yokohama, England).
